VIP Tables at Gurney's Beach Club
Time Out wrote that you need a reservation or to be a hotel guest to set foot on the beach club. That makes planning ahead the whole game: message us on WhatsApp with the date and how many you are, and we'll tell you what's possible for the summer 2027 season.
How to Get to Gurney's Beach Club
Gurney's Montauk Resort is at 290 Old Montauk Hwy in Montauk, on the ocean at the eastern end of Long Island. The beach club is part of the resort, on its private beach. Montauk is the eastern end of the Long Island Rail Road's Montauk Branch.
Dress Code & Entry Requirements
Gurney's doesn't publish a dress code for the beach club. It's a daytime beach party, so swimwear and summer clothes are the norm. Bring ID. If you're going to an evening event at the resort, ask us on WhatsApp what to wear.
A resort beach club with a DJ all summer
Gurney's Beach Club belongs to Gurney's Montauk Resort, the ocean-front hotel and seawater spa at 290 Old Montauk Hwy, which marks its 100th year in 2026. The resort's website describes a 2,000-foot stretch of sand reserved for Gurney's guests, and the beach club is what happens on it in summer. Time Out's guide to Montauk bars put it plainly: a live DJ keeps the day party going all summer, and the crowd gathers around a nautical-striped outdoor bar. It also warned that you need a reservation or to be a hotel guest to set foot on the beach club. That makes it a different plan from a ticketed day party: smaller, organized ahead, and best for groups that want a full beach day with music rather than a club night.
Holiday weekends: Sound Waves, BLOND:ISH and the Fourth
The biggest days at Gurney's fall on summer holiday weekends. The resort has run a summer music series called Sound Waves, with DJ sets on summer weekends, and on holiday weekends it books DJs at The Beach Club and The Firepit, its outdoor lounge with ocean views. The Fourth of July 2026 is a good example: BLOND:ISH played Gurney's Beach Club on Saturday, July 4, from 12pm to 6pm, and the night before the resort hosted a late "3rd of July" party from 10pm to 2am. Lineups and dates change every summer and the 2027 calendar isn't out yet. If you want to plan a Montauk weekend around Gurney's, especially Memorial Day, the Fourth or Labor Day, message us and we'll tell you when dates are announced.
Off-season at Gurney's and how to plan your visit
Unlike most Hamptons venues, Gurney's doesn't shut down when summer ends: the resort stays open, and its website lists winter plans such as Igloos By The Sea from October 16, 2026 to April 4, 2027 and Saturday mixology sessions through spring. The beach club and its DJ day parties, though, are a summer thing, so for a beach party you are looking at the 2027 season. To plan a visit, send us on WhatsApp the date, how many you are and whether anyone in the group is staying at the resort, and we'll tell you what's possible. If you want more of a party, Montauk's other two summer venues on our guide are close by: Bounce Beach for Saturday day parties downtown and The Surf Lodge for sunset sets on Fort Pond.
