Hamptons and Montauk Nightlife: Where to Party in Summer

Hamptons nightlife runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and most of its clubs close after Labor Day weekend. Montauk has the most going on: The Surf Lodge, Bounce Beach and Gurney's Beach Club. As of November 2026 the summer venues are closed; the 2027 season starts on Memorial Day weekend, May 29–31.

Montauk
Montauk is where the Hamptons party. The Surf Lodge, at 183 Edgemere St on Fort Pond, mixes a hotel, a restaurant and an outdoor stage for sunset DJ sets and a summer concert series; its 2026 summer included a NYLON residency over the Fourth of July and WhoMadeWho on Sept 4. It is closed for the season now.
Bounce Beach, at 148 S Emerson Ave a block from the ocean, took over the former Sloppy Tuna. Its Daylife Saturdays ran from 1pm to 7pm through summer 2026, with extra Sunday editions on holiday weekends (Labor Day weekend closed with Lost Kings and Cid). Time Out describes it as a DJ spot popular with bachelorette groups.
Gurney's Beach Club belongs to Gurney's Montauk Resort, 290 Old Montauk Hwy, which marked its centennial in 2026. On summer weekends and holiday weekends it hosts DJ day parties on its private beach; BLOND:ISH played on July 4, 2026. New in 2026, Barlume Beach opened on Memorial Day weekend at 435 E Lake Dr, facing Montauk Harbor, with a DJ at its opening.
Bars in Montauk for the last drink
When the day clubs close, Montauk's late crowd ends up in bars. Memory Motel, at 692 Montauk Hwy, is the classic last-call dive with live music. Ruschmeyer's, relaunched as a hotel in 2025, has a lounge with weekend DJs in season and is closed for the winter.
East Hampton: The Clubhouse
The Clubhouse, at 174 Daniels Hole Rd, is an entertainment complex with a room and a lawn for concerts and nightlife; the Common Ground East nightclub moved here in July 2025. Its summer 2026 program included Stephen Marley, Lauryn Hill and a Saturday Night Fever disco series. We haven't confirmed regular club nights for 2027 yet.
Hampton Bays and Southampton: what closed
Hampton Bays' Boardy Barn, open since 1970, closed in 2021. The Barnyard carried on its Sunday parties on the same site from 2023, but 2026 was its final season: its last events were on Sept 6, 2026. The Boardy Barn name lives on as pop-up parties elsewhere on Long Island. In Southampton, we found no 2026 program for the clubs older guides still list, so we don't recommend them for now.

The one written dress code we have is Bounce Beach's: its 2026 day parties asked for beach chic. The other venues don't publish one, so if you're unsure, ask us before you go.
