What happened to Karma and Bamboo

Karma, the Seaside Heights boardwalk club made famous by Jersey Shore, was demolished on Dec 27, 2023, with a mixed-use building proposed for the site. Bamboo, next door in the show's era, was knocked down in 2021 in an area marked for redevelopment. Guides still mention a few Seaside Heights bars with dancing, but we haven't found a current source from any of them, so we don't list them.

Belmar: D'Jais

D'Jais, at 1801 Ocean Ave in Belmar, faces the beach and the boardwalk. It has been a restaurant since 1959 and a dance club with DJs and theme nights since 1979, with four indoor bars and a deck bar. Its DJs posted a Summer '26 mix series from early July to Labor Day weekend.

Asbury Park: Paradise

Paradise, the gay club at the Empress Hotel (101 Asbury Ave), opened in May 1999. It has a main room, the Copper Bar, a heated outdoor pool with tiki bars, drag shows and the Miss Paradise pageant; in summer 2026 it hosted the Furball dance party during Asbury Park Bear Invasion weekend.

Point Pleasant and Asbury Park for live music

Not clubs, but busy on summer nights: Jenks Club in Point Pleasant Beach runs a concert series, mostly country; Martell's Tiki Bar on the Point Pleasant boardwalk has live music most days in season; and Wonder Bar in Asbury Park is a live music room.

Atlantic City

HQ2 Beachclub at Ocean Casino Resort is Atlantic City's summer day club. Its 2026 season ran from Hugel on May 23 to Fisher on Sept 5, with Loud Luxury, Steve Aoki, Two Friends and Kettama in between. The same resort's HQ2 Nightclub carries on outside summer, and The Pool After Dark at Harrah's, an indoor heated pool club, has Saturday nights in November 2026.

Closing time on the Jersey Shore

New York's 4am rule doesn't apply here. In New Jersey, bar hours are set town by town, so closing time in Belmar, Asbury Park and Atlantic City can differ.
