What the show is

The Box calls itself a “Theater of Varieties” on Instagram, and that's the best short description. It isn't a dance club with a stage act at midnight; the shows are the night. Expect burlesque, drag and acts built to shock a little, with DJs playing in between.

Is it hard to get in?

Yes. Entry runs through table bookings, and listings are blunt that turning up without a reservation is unlikely to work. The Box takes bookings through its own site. Plan ahead, and plan the group: one table, everyone arriving together.

What to wear

Polished. Listings ask for a dressed-up look and no sportswear. Think of it as a night at the theater that ends at 4am.
